Richard Zaal, LIV North Regional Sales Manager, shares his experience with the Wattbike Pro and reveals the benefits for athletes.

Wattbike is the next level cycling and performance tool which caters to both high performance athletes and individuals looking to improve their fitness.

Robust, versatile and reliable. The Wattbike Pro was the one that started it all for indoor cycling and set the bar for performance bikes. The research, analysis and improvement that has gone into the Wattbike Pro means the data produced for riders is extremely accurate within +/- 2%. Beyond that, the Polar View enables me to improve my pedalling efficiency and power output since I can visualize each pedal stroke. Combined with air and magnetic resistance, with a maximum of 3,760W, I know I’m always able to get a tough workout. All the effort I do indoors with the Wattbike Pro translates into performance outdoors thanks to the real ride technology which replicates the resistance and sensation of riding outdoors on the road.

From my last ride, I was able to find out via the Wattbike app, the following information after my ride:

Improved efficiency via the Wattbikes Watt meter I am able to determine which leg is more dominant and how to improve the efficiency of my 360 degree pedal stroke while riding, (polar View). The Wattbike monitor will show you how to improve your pedal stroke while riding via the onboard display. In addition, the 20 minute Test is designed to establish your functional threshold of power (FTP) which is the average number of watts a rider can sustain in an hour. This is a great measure to track your improvements against. There are numerous heart rate programs, cardiovascular programs, HIIT Training programs and testing programs built into the Wattbike console. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the Wattbike!
